When talking about technology in art, we should always talk about technique as well. As their definitions show:

technique
a way of carrying out a particular task, especially the execution or performance of an artistic work or a scientific procedure;

technology
the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry;

their meanings are quite different and first should be analysed separately.
Technique is invisible by default, you can’t see and perceive all the elements which constitute the creation that happens over a period in time. Technology on the other hand is more easy to be deciphered. You have access to all the details you need. You can see clearly the structure of the commands that are coded into the creation of the enquired shape. Also the results of the two ways of obtaining an image are quite contrasting. Technique creates an organic image, unpredictable and unique, whereas, technology’s results can be easily foreseen and are standardized. On one hand, technique helps technology in the way that a mind which possesses technique can tweak the other one, thus transforming it. On the other hand, technology can be used in art to enhance and help the technique, and never to replace it. Thus, we shouldn’t reject technology; it is just a matter of knowing the good measure in everything.
”Circle technique” tries to illustrate the combination of the two elements of creation by showing how something hidden can be revealed with the use of technology and beautifully crafted by technique.
